Health Goal

Hello there people!! I am feeling quite good right now. I have started a cleansing process that I am beginning to enjoy. Last wednesday I cut meat out of my diet. I have done this before, but this time I am confident that I can stick with it for the long haul. I have always wanted to be a vegan, from the time that I was a little girl because I always felt guilty about eating something that was once alive. But over time I put becoming a vegan to the back of my mind because when ever I said that is what I wanted to do, what other people instantly said was:  “Where are you going to get your protein from? You need protein. God put certain animals on this earth for our consumption. So there is no need for you to feel guilty.” At the time I didn’t know how to answer that question, or for that matter where to get the answers from. But I am older now and if asked I would know the answer.

Many people think that you can not get a sufficient amount of nutrition from plant based foods. I am here to let you now that, that is not true. You can get the right amount of nutrition from just being on a fully plant based diet, you just have to do your research and speak to a nutritionist that favors a planet based diet. To make the switch may be a little challenging. I know for a fact that it may be nearly impossible for many of us to do. For the simple fact that we were born and raised on milk, eggs, and meat, and that usually means that it’s more of a change to go for that healthier life style.

I was brought up on all that good tasting food, from macaroni & cheese to oxtails, to pork chops and ribs. All these things taste good, real good! But the reality is that none of these things are good for you. Im going to be honest and say that I am going to miss the taste of these foods, but I know that by cutting these things out of my diet it is going to help me feel better, look better and do more.

I know alot of people may think that this is just a bunch of hoopla, but I’m telling you it makes a being difference in your energy levels, and it improves your over all health. I promise that the first month u will feel better than u ever have; given that you get in the right amount of calories a day. Most days you will feel like you can do anything, at least thats what i felt like.
